The Ankara-İzmir High-Speed Train Line Project (AIYHT), being constructed for speeds of up to 250 km/h and spanning 508 kilometers, is a key initiative by the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments. This project will connect Ankara, the capital of Turkey, with Izmir, the third-largest city in the country by population. The line will include over 1,000 tunnels, viaducts, bridges, overpasses, underpasses, and culverts.
As part of the project, geotechnical project reports and designs have been completed for the following structures along the Ankara-Izmir High-Speed Train Line:
•6 tunnels,
•5 viaducts,
•5 bridges,
•2 overpasses, and
•2 underpasses.
